Frequently Asked Questions
What happens after the session?
Once we have completed the photo session/s, I will upload a gallery of images to my web site at Burntmoon.com. From here, you can use your session credit code to get prints or gifts and also order and pay for any others if you would like to. If you don’t want to use my website I am happy to do this for you at no extra charge, although obviously you will need to pay me for the orders you want first. I can go over the options for you after the session on the phone or in person at the session. Then I may put the best photos on my Facebook page so that others can comment on your photos and say how cute your pets are! I find I can receive invaluable feedback from this and it gives others the opportunity to admire your pet.
How much are the images?
Prices of prints vary greatly depending on size etc. Please take a look at the Burntmoon.com web site for sample prices and styles. Prints start from as little as £11
I want to buy an image through the Burntmoon.com gallery but there isn’t the option for what I wanted?
There probably is but I haven’t included it in my gallery. There are literally hundreds of available options and I didn’t want to confuse clients with too many. Let me know what you want and I can probably add it just for you.
I’ve seen your framed work in galleries and would like something similar!
No problem, we can offer a more personal service for those who would like to buy direct from us rather than through the website. Your chosen images will be printed by a professional lab. The images are then hand-assembled onto mount board and then framed using the materials below. These are the same as those used to exhibit our work in local galleries. Images, A3 in size, are printed onto one of three paper types.
Fujicolour Crystal Archive Digital PEARL Paper™, a new silver halide colour photo paper for professional commercial prints, Lustre printed on Fuji DP11 Professional Paper or Gloss printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Paper.
These are mounted using board with a neutral ph non-acidic cream core, which is at the commended level of the Fine Art guild. This is then framed using natural solid Oak frames, 32mm wide fitted with 2mm glass made in Yorkshire. At Moondog Pet Photography we are committed to customer service and satisfaction. The price for this service is £99.99 with a projected 20 working day turnaround.
Can I have the images on a CD?
The digital files are NOT included in the session fee.
Who owns the copyright?
I retain copyright for all my images, except for pre-agreed commercial shoots. If you need to purchase the copyright to your images please contact me for further information.
Will you do a photo session at my home?
Yes, absolutely, or at your work, or on holiday. If you would like me to take photos of your well behaved pet in a studio please let me know and I can arrange this for a small additional fee.
Will you take a photo of me and my dog with my dog on the lead?
Although I do prefer for dogs to be off the lead I understand this may not always be possible and there is still plenty we can do while your dog is on a lead. If you have a nervous dog perhaps a shoot at your home would be more suitable, where they are most comfortable and relaxed.
I have a pet that is not a dog, can you photograph them too?
Yes. I have photographed a number of other animals including parrots, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs and a tortoise!
How much does it cost?
I don’t have set session fees for pets other than dogs because there are so many variables, so please get in touch to discuss your requirements. They will not be too different to the prices for dogs so are not necessarily more expensive.
